Shrink & track any URL on the Internet using your WordPress website.

You can now shorten links using your own domain name (as opposed to using tinyurl.com, bit.ly, or any other link shrinking service)!

In addition to creating shortened URLs, Pretty Link tracks each hit on your URL and provides a full, detailed report of where the hit came from, the browser, OS and host.

If you don’t have a WP Blog (and don’t want to install one for free)..

You can always use a PHP redirect from your own domain by copying the code blow into a notepad.txt file and save it to your computer as “whatever.php”.. then upload it to your site and your cloaked link will look like:

http://YourWebSiteURL.com/whatever.php

Here’s the PHP code..

<?php

header( ‘Location: http://TheLinkYouWantToCloak.com’ ) ;
?>

Of course there are no tracking abilities with the free PHP code.

Now.. if you primarily promote as an affiliate but.. want to build your email list.. the following is the best possible way to it..

If you promote as an affiliate and send your raw traffic to a squeeze page before sending them to the offer page.. you are losing a lot of that traffic when they decide to not opt-in just to see the offer and they never see the offer… wasted traffic!

This software not only cloaks and tracks your affiliate links but also allows you to send your raw traffic directly to the offer page because it makes your Opt-In Form appear as an unblockable pop-up on the site you link to.. pretty cool eh?

See examples of this software in use here:

It’s not very often that I speak my “personal” beliefs or opinions in public… after all… this is an online business based blog and few, if any readers have come here to read anything other than online business related content.

However, I’m compelled from time to time to break from tradition.

So..

I woke up today and eagerly sat down at my desk to go through my usual heap of emails that came in overnight, anticipating the messages from the lists that I’m subscribed to containing Remembrance Day (US = Veterans’ Day) messages to warm my heart and re-affirm my belief in the prevailing goodness of humanity (that I usually receive on November 11th).

To my total dismay, ONLY ONE email contained ANYTHING about this most important day!

There were the usual adswaps, webinar notices, marketing messages and sales offers but, with all the lists I’m on (and that’s a lot) only one marketer even mentioned what this Statutory Holiday is all about. (I do know it’s not a stat day off for everyone).

Many marketers did not mail today and I interpret that as “a moment of silence” as is customary to observe at Remembrance Day Ceremonies.

Everyone who sent a promotional email today should have, at least, mentioned that “they” remember.. IMO

Then I took my daily trip to the grocery store and nearly fell over at the sight of ALMOST NOBODY wearing a poppy over their heart.

Shame on them! (and shame on their parents for not teaching them gratitude)

Do they not realize that they owe their freedom to the ultimate sacrifices of soldiers who fought and died.. so they didn’t have to?

Has the free world already forgotten what the families of fallen and injured war veterans will NEVER forget?

As the direct descendant of a Canadian Soldier who landed on the shores of Normandy on D-Day.. I am thoroughly disgusted by the lack of “remembrance” by my fellow marketers and neigbours.

For crying out loud.. I spend most of November 11th every year wiping the tears off my face because I can’t stop thinking about how unselfish my Grandad and his buddies were to offer “their lives” in exchange for “my freedom”.

I for one, will NEVER forget.. and neither will my children.

To everyone who can relate with me on this, I suppose we can take solace in the fact that, how ever few of us there are now, we are not alone.

To all the Vet’s reading this.. imagine me standing at attention.. saluting you.

“Does It Mean Nothing To You”?

If you are just getting started on affiliate marketing, chances are you are still roughly confused about some of the terminologies used in the subject, as well as how to really succeed in it. While affiliate marketing can easily be learned, it is any affiliate marketer?s dream to quickly get through the beginner?s phase and onto a level where he or she really is making money competitively.

On the Internet, a portal exists in which affiliate marketers ? beginner or expert ? can gather together to learn anything and everything about affiliate marketing. Established in 2006, Affilorama was created by a group of affiliate marketing gurus who have the passion to teach and help other struggling newbies to quickly be trained in all aspects of affiliate marketing.

This website comes highly recommended by its members as all of them have benefited from the service in one way or another. The newbies were able to grasp the concepts involved in affiliate marketing much quicker than their counterparts, and the established affiliate marketers learned a new trick or two that has helped them speed up the amount of income they get on a regular basis.

So you see, with Affilorama, it doesn?t really matter how much experience you?ve had in affiliate marketing. You just have to be willing to learn. All it takes is a few minutes to sign up for free membership and you gain easy access to the portal, and all the wonderful tools it includes.
